How to Prepare for Your Appointment

A practical checklist to help you get the most out of your Thrive Rx telehealth consultation — what to have ready, what to think about, and how to join.

Updated today

A little preparation goes a long way. Here's how to make the most of your Thrive Rx telehealth consultation.

Before Your Appointment

Complete Your Health Questionnaire

Make sure your health questionnaire is fully completed in the Thrive Rx platform before your appointment. This gives your clinician essential context about your medical history, lifestyle, and goals.

Gather Your Medication List

Have a list of everything you're currently taking, including:

  • Prescription medications (with dosages)

  • Over-the-counter medications

  • Vitamins and supplements

  • Any herbal or natural remedies

If you're unsure of exact names or dosages, having the packaging nearby can help.

Note Down Your Questions

It's easy to forget things in the moment. Before your appointment, write down any questions or topics you want to discuss, such as:

  • Specific health concerns or symptoms you've been experiencing

  • Questions about your pathology results

  • Goals you want to focus on (energy, sleep, metabolic health, hormones, etc.)

  • Concerns about treatments, costs, or side effects

Review Your Pathology Results

Your results will be available in your biomarker dashboard before your consultation. Take a few minutes to look through them — you don't need to understand every marker, but familiarising yourself with the layout will make the discussion with your clinician more productive.

On the Day

Check Your Setup

  • Audio and microphone — Test that your audio works before the appointment. Use headphones for better sound quality and privacy.

  • Quiet, private space — Find somewhere you can speak openly about your health without interruption.

Have Your Materials Ready

  • Your medication list

  • Your written questions

  • Any relevant documents (e.g. recent results from your GP or specialist, if applicable)

During Your Appointment

  • Be open and honest — Your clinician needs accurate information to make the best decisions for your care. Don't hold back on symptoms, concerns, or lifestyle details.

  • Ask questions — If something isn't clear, ask. Your clinician is there to help you understand your health.

  • Take notes — Jot down key points, especially any action items or next steps. A consultation summary will also be added to your platform records.

If You Need to Reschedule

If you can't make your appointment, please let us know at least 48 hrs in advance so we can offer the slot to another patient and find a new time for you. You can reschedule through the Thrive Rx platform or by contacting our support team.
